2026 Tour du Mont Blanc almost fully booked already - Act Now

the booking website is back up. it's time now to get your refuges ASAP.

The official TMB booking site is back up

So last year I had my first colonoscopy. TMI, I know. But thankfully the prep landed on the midnight opening of the TMB refuge booking site.

This timing was PERFECT! At 12:01 am I was able to secure reservations for 6 people at the huts that I wanted and I got hotels in the towns at a reasonable price near the QC Spa.

This year however, the site has been so pressed that it was dysfunctional until a few days ago.

It’s so annoying I think I’ll be using planners from now going forward, or just go to different trails nearby. (I’m in the final stages of booking the Tour du Mont Fallere actually, with dogs!)

The Tour du Mont Blanc is getting REALLY popular

My friend on our arrival day where we dayhiked up to Lac Blanc.

For the self-booking hikers, get over the official TMB booking site and start building your spreadsheet of accommodation each night.

Generally speaking, there are a few spots that are harder to book (the southern end, between Courmayeur and Switzerland) and you want to get those dates locked in first and then work your way around.

If you want to see what this trail looks like day-by-day, check out this past summer’s Tour du Mont Blanc Family trek on YouTube.

Booking the TMB with a Tour Operator

If you’re prepping for this trek but don’t want to self-book you can get some help from these great tour operators.

What I’d Bring Again on the TMB

If you have concerns, I sat down at my local pond and recorded a video about how to structure your TMB packing so you can stay light and not feel bogged down by your pack.

Happy hiking, and I hope to inspire you to explore the beauty of Europe’s trails!

Next week we’ll dive into some foot saving tips for coastal treks and black friday deals on outdoor gear.

Let’s see how this trail unfolds…
