EGO: it got me...guided vs self-guided trekking ??

3rd: My ego prevented me from going on guided hiking treks for WAY too long. I grew up in Idaho, we rubbed dirt on our wounds and “hire” a guide, for a hike? Seriously, why?!!

Fortunately my brain got over it’s ego trip and I’ve had the pleasure of several guided treks and TBH, even IF we don’t NEED a guide…it can be really enhancing to the experience.
