Germany's most unique hike - Salt Valley
🥾🇩🇪🎥 + Gastro Brewery
Hey there Epic Hikers!
Are you looking for a hidden gem of a hike that is not crowded, totally authentic and has a gastro brewery at the half-way point?
👎 Plus some amazing cliffs?
Yesterday in the Soonwald forest area near Bad Kreuznach. This massive red cliff is a joy to hike around.
This dayhike in the Untold Soonwald area of Germany will inspire you. The trail, located about an hour from Frankfurt, goes through the “Salinetal”…ie, Salt Valley…where the city erected 100 ft towers of bundles of twigs…and pumps water from an underground salt cave over the top so the salt water is aerated into a mist you can walk and smell your way through.
Weird, but awesome.

P.S. A lot of you have asked about preparation and training for hiking trips - esp for women whose body occasionally betrays them.
So I’ll be sharing a lot more fitness tips along side video trail reports - based on my experience as both a hiker and a physical therapist. Hope you enjoy the rebrand~!
