Free planning consults + Challenge
And 2023 in review
Happy New Years!
For those that use facebook - we are doing a January goals challenge and review. I would encourage you to join our group and share your reflections.
My first one is a bit sad…I was cornered and almost attacked by a German shepherd this week. It’s really made me reevaluate my gear.
I personally moderate this group almost daily to keep it spam free.
Free Consults
Over the past week I’ve also had the pleasure of helping some of our community plan both independent and agency booked hut to hut hikes in Italy and Austria over the phone (Whatsapp).
It was really fulfilling and I’m going to open up 4 slots per week for free to our community to a 15 min consult.
If you have questions, not sure where to go, what kind of routes would be best…I am happy to share my knowledge so you don’t have to spend hours researching. Note: I live in Germany so would need to be in west coast mornings.
I wish someone would have done this for me 5 years ago, so go ahead an email me if you would like to pick my brain about some mellow adventure travel in Europe.
Gear for Winter Hikes
This week I’ve also been testing gear a lot…mainly battery powered hand protection…I have to say I’m impressed. I was really skeptical but… 👉 Watch my heated gloves and mittens review to see if they may work for you.
July 2024 👉 Crave the Planet is offering a Guided Dolomites Hut to Hut Hiking Tour
Next week I’m travelling to the lesser known region of the Dolomites to meet a local hiking guide and go over the details for the summer hut to hut hike I will be leading.
I wanted to see the area and find some special activities in addition to the hut to hut hike to help people make a vacation of it.
Note: All details about my guided hike will be released when I return from our ski safari (winter hut to hut hiking but on skis) in mid-January.
If you have a friend who would find this newsletter useful, forward it to them.
Until next time…
