🎥 Germany's Highest Lake Hike
Take a virtual hike of Schrecksee
Hey outdoor lovers!
So it was my birthday last week and of course I went hiking in the Alps! September and October can be amazing for long day hikes as long as you get started early because it’s dark by 7:30.
I know that doesn’t seem late to a lot of you - but here in Germany we get LOOOOOng summer nights.
Anyhow, if you’re curious about an incredible day hike that is not on the “popular list”, check out my video taken last week in the Allgauer Alps of Bavaria Germany.
Don't miss out on this hidden gem near Oberstdorf Germany - click through to watch the video and add the Schrecksee Hike to your travel bucket list. It would go well with a trip to Munich or Innsbruck and is also the start of the E5 transalps long distance hut to hut trail. (on my bucketlist)
Popular Hike Planning - TMB
For you hikers wanting to book the tour du mont blanc yourself - I’d hop on the interwebs and do it ASAP. Many refuges opened bookings this week and were sold out in less than an hour. It’s nuts.
Stay tuned for next week when I will share the full trail travel guide. The cool thing is that the town nearby just started tours for canyoning in the river. Yes please!
Also there are companies offering guided klettersteigs….it’s a cross between hiking and climbing with a harness so you can clip in and hike on the side of a cliff.
