Hey there epic hikers!

I’m sitting down to write this before family visits for 2 weeks - such a blessing but also anyone else run out of towels with 6 extra houseguests?

Anyways, as the summer trekking season ramps up a question I get a lot is how to train for hills when you live in a place like Florida or the Netherlands where a bridge is about as high as you can get (vs buildings).

Not to worry! You can still get ready for the Alps or Dolomites even from the flatlands.

  • Utilize bridges and stadiums

  • Strength training for legs in gym

  • Treadmills with aggressive inclines
