Multi-Day German Castle to Castle Hotel Hike
Multi-day hike in Germany + Castle history guide + Castle Hotels you can Backpack + Black Diamond Sale Hello Outdoor Lovers,
The little known Rheinsteig and Rhine Castles Trail in Germany (1 hour from Frankfurt) is a wonderful Spring/Summer and especially Fall hike, especially for those not quite sure if they are ready (or want the elevation gain) for the Alps or Dolomites.
Here's my
of this stunning UNESCO world heritage site filled with castles or castle ruins about every 2.5km. These trails run 300+km.
We went in April on a ladies "flashpacking" adventure, staying in castle hotels the whole way! Our favorite -----
They are LGBTQ friendly, family run and have rooms with hidden bathrooms behind bookcases. The 4 course dinner, gardens, trebuchet - all of it was spectacularly medieval and fun.
🎯 But the entire trip, I was curious about all the castles we went by and wanted more context.
So, 🏰 I’ve created a mobile friendly Castle database for you to take on your hike, bike or river cruise on the Romantic Rhine River in Germany.
This database will give you history, architecture and GPS locations of the UNESCO Rhine River Gorge castles and castle hotels.

🎁 🎁 🌲 And it's that time of year --- The 25% off
. Their trekking poles are tops!
If you do want to make this a
Spring/Summer/Fall hiking trip,
it is a good idea to
.
There are definitely other options, like traditional BnBs along the route too. But, when in Germany at least one stay at a castle hotel is in order.
If you have any questions just reply back to this email and I'll get back to you soon. I've written a detailed logistical post about the
and a 5 day flashpacking trip between them is coming soon with GPS step by step directions.
