✈️ Summer 2023 Alps - Mosel, Rhine River

you should have some fomo about europe this summer

Hey there Outdoor Lover!

As the weather goes from hail to bright sunshine, it's a signal to get out there and soak up Nature.  I'll admit, I'm definitely a fairweather hiker (in theory) but getting out to see the earliest blossoms along the Rhine and Mosel in Germany this week has been a lifesaver despite the weather.

Before we begin on this week's new travel trail guide articles - I want to encourage anyone on the fence about a summer adventure in the Alps to plan it soon.

Like, today.  I read something in the Wall st. Journal that Europe travel is going nuts this year.  Airlines are adding routes, extending the length of the runway in Pula Croatia (yes, go there and take Capt Chris's boat tour) and even Biden is going there for funzies.

There's just limited space so if you wait, it's going get tough. If you're looking for something a bit less crowded, I would suggest one of the Austrian hut to hut hiking tours by Alpenventures Unguided.  There's a link at the bottom of the email to learn more along with free Dolomites planning resources.

Until next week - Morgan

New Articles:

1. Moselsteig : The Moselle Valley in Germany winds through some of the most impossibly cute half timbered villages and steep vinyards.  The trail is 365 km and it's so steep that there is paragliding amongst many adventures beyond hiking. A highlight on any trip here is the micro village of Beilstein, it's got vibes for days and right on the Moselsteig path for you long distance or even day hikers.

2. Dolomites quotes : more inspo for the very end of the "dark ages" and somewhere to put to use the 1,000 photos from last summer.  One of my favorite, guns and dresses on cliffs...What do you think?

3. Chairlift Guide on the Rhine River Valley Germany : A hiking trip in Europe is not complete without riding a gondola or chairlift to skip the ups (or downs).  That's such a nice thing about European hiking....accessiblity.  Here's my detailed guide about the chairlift in Boppard on the Rhine Castles Trail.

Until next time, Adventures Await!
