Transportation Options for Select Sections of the Fisherman’s Trail
Should you hike the entire Fisherman's Trail or just a section? These transport companies make it easy to mix and match the sections that you want and easily get to and from the airports of Lisbon and Faro.

Hey Coastal Hikers!
To do the full trail or not to do the full trail along the Wild Atlantic coastline on the Fisherman’s Trail? But first…
The kids and I just returned from a road trip to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Although we couldn't hike in April due to a blizzard, these rugged mountains are definitely a must-see on your hiking bucket list!
April is the perfect time to hike the Fisherman’s Trail
With that in mind, I wanted to share some helpful transportation options for those of you who may want to explore specific segments of the Fisherman’s Trail instead of tackling the entire route.
Here are some convenient options to consider:
Public Transportation:
Rede Expressos: Offers bus services along the coast including Lisbon, Faro and Lagos. Check their schedules here.
Rideshare Services:
Luggage Transfers:
Taxi-T: A great option for Faro airport transfers and luggage transport. Visit their website here or call them at +351 283 990 000.
Vicentina Transfers: Offers luggage transfer services; you can reach them at +351 965 325 589 or visit their website here.
Paulo Martins: For personalized assistance, you can contact Paulo Martins via his Facebook profile here. Or What’sApp: +351 966 535 125
Other Local Taxi Drivers: Most taxi drivers are also willing to transport luggage if you ask ahead of time, so don’t hesitate to inquire when booking your ride! Check on google near the towns you are hiking.
Train Services
Comboios de Portugal: You can check the train timetables here. This is often between Lagos and Lisbon.
Group Carpooling:
If you're interested in carpooling, please head to our Facebook group to coordinate with fellow hikers. It’s a great way to connect and share the journey!
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need assistance with planning your hikes.
I’m here to help! Looking forward to hitting the trails with all of you soon!
