Winter Hikes that don't suck - 🇵🇹 PORTUGAL

Coastal thru hike perfect to pair with Lisbon trip

Today is Feb 9 2023,

Hello Outdoor lovers!

Where can you go thru-hiking in the winter??? On Portugal's iconic Fisherman's trail.

One unexpected aspect of the Fisherman's Trail in Portugal is that it is also a great destination for birdwatching. Along the trail, you can spot a variety of bird species including seabirds, migratory birds, and endangered species like the Iberian lynx. Birdwatchers can also visit the Cape St. Vincent Natural Reserve, located near the end of the trail, which is a well-known birdwatching hotspot.

Resources for planning Fisherman's Trail Portugal:

1. DIY STEP BY STEP planner. Simply copy and paste it to make it your own. I've got the links to the hotels , bus time tables, distances walked each day and elevation gains.

2. Accommodation guide in the correct daily order in google sheets.

3. PDF Accommodation guide.

Fun fact??!?!?!

This region of Portugal is famous for sweet potatoes the size of a volleyball. They even have a festival each November.
